According to Section 111A, Section (2) of the "Cyprus National Act": Foreign investors can become Cypriot citizens through naturalization and obtain a Cypriot passport. Cyprus renewed its bill in February 2019. The new policy took effect on May 15th. The main contents are: investors are required to add 150,000 euros in donations to the purchase of 2 million euros of real estate, and the investment holding period is extended to 5 years.
Main applicant: 18 years of age or older, no criminal record, no record of refusal of immigration applications from other EU countries;
Sub-applicant: including spouse and unmarried economically dependent children under 28 years of age
Investment methods
1. Real estate investment: buy 2 million euros in Cyprus for residential real estate (excluding commercial real estate), single or multiple sets, or purchase not less than 2.5 million euros (including Commercial real estate, including a residential real estate of no less than 500,000 euros); the above investment real estate must be held for 5 years and can be sold after 5 years (at least 1 self-occupied property worth 500,000 euros should be retained in the name of the main applicant Real estate)
2. Government donation: In addition to the above real estate investment, an additional donation of 150,000 euros to government agencies is required (75,000 euros to the Cyprus Research and Innovation Foundation, 75,000 euros to the Cyprus Land Development Commission).
3. Other conditions: Applicants must hold a valid Schengen visa.
