Recently, Quacquarelli Symonds, an international higher education research organization, unveiled its annual QS Asian University Rankings.
Universities in Singapore and Hong Kong, China, performed particularly well in this year's rankings, occupying five of the top ten spots in Asia.

Hong Kong, China
In the QS Asian University Rankings 2025, three universities in the Hong Kong region managed to rank among the top ten in Asia, demonstrating their excellence in higher education.
► The University of Hong Kong: 2nd in Asia
The University of Hong Kong (HKU) is the oldest institution of higher learning in Hong Kong and is renowned worldwide. In this ranking, it once again secures the second position in Asia.
HKU's strengths include strong research and extensive international collaborations, among others:
★ Having 111 professors who are recognized by Thomson Reuters Basic Science Indicators as the top 1% of scientists in the world;
★ Collaborative relationships with over 340 universities in 43 countries;
★ There are currently more than 9,000 international students from 96 countries;
★ The employment rate of graduates has remained high at over 99.4% for 11 consecutive years.
In addition, a number of HKU's programs are ranked among the top 10 in the world, including Dentistry, Education, Civil and Structural Engineering, Architecture, Linguistics, and Social Policy and Administration.
► The Chinese University of Hong Kong: 6th in Asia
The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), established in 1963, is the second locally founded research-based comprehensive university in Hong Kong and has a strong international reputation.
The strengths of The Chinese University of Hong Kong are as follows:

► City University of Hong Kong: 10th in Asia
Established since 1994, City University of Hong Kong (CityU) is a strong, vibrant and young university that also enjoys an excellent reputation in the field of professional education.
In the QS Asian University Rankings 2025, City University of Hong Kong advances into the top 10 in Asia for the first time, ranking 10th.
City University of Hong Kong performs particularly well in a number of accreditation indicators. In particular, it ranked first in Asia in the indicators of “percentage of international faculty”, “percentage of inbound exchange students” and “percentage of outbound exchange students”.
In addition, it also scored full marks in the sub-category of “proportion of international students”.
In terms of its major strengths, City University of Hong Kong ranks among the world's top universities in the fields of linguistics, mathematics, architecture and built environment, business and management, civil and structural engineering, and electrical and electronic engineering.
